ORKA Performance has made the switch to Lumin Sports as its preferred performance and rehabilitation platform.

The move will elevate ORKA’s internal operations as well as patient and athlete experience by centralising strength and conditioning (S&C) programming, return-to-performance (RTP) plans, athlete monitoring, and communications.

With facilities in Calgary, Edmonton, and Charlottetown, Lumin will be critical in enabling ORKA’s specialist physio, rehab and S&C staff to deliver unrivalled performance and injury management services to more than 500 clients.

ORKA’s Founder, Taylor Evernden, said Lumin’s ability to speed up the S&C programming, process was a key driver behind the decision.

“There’s a few different reasons why we’ve switched, and I think the one for me is just saving time in terms of programming,” Evernden said.

“There are many features on the back end that our team absolutely loves, from the Bulk Update feature to be able to drop into de-load weeks and of course the Undo Button.

On the rehabilitation side, ORKA identified the need for greater structure and long-term planning.

“What was really attractive to us was those rehab plans,’’ said Travis Gaudet, ORKA Co-owner and Director of Rehabilitation.

‘’It really encourages us to think beyond individual sessions because what we’re really aiming for is a clearer arc from injury all the way to performance.’’

“Ideally that’s going to lead to smoother transitions back to the performance department and a lot fewer grey areas between rehab and training.”

Lumin Sports Chief Executive Officer, Ben Tripodi, said the partnership reflects a broader shift within the private high performance industry toward systems that reduce friction between departments.

‘’Time is scarce and clarity matters,” Tripodi said.

“When coaches are managing hundreds of athletes, they need structure, visibility and the ability to make changes at scale without increasing administrative load.”

“Rehab and performance cannot operate in silos. Coaches and clinicians need to see the same plan, the same data and the same progression pathway.”
